In this frame, the Luxembourgish government is committed to digital accessibility and advocating to ensure that all services and information available on the web are accessible to anyone, including the population with disabilities.

Every year, as part of its mission, the SIP publishes a list of websites and apps that will be audited to control they meet digital accessibility standards set by the government.

Our audit will focus on testing your platform based on a checklist of more than 150 items, delivering a report that will help you understand which areas are critical and which changes must be done before an official audit takes place.

The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is a law passed by the European Union to enhance accessibility of products and services for people with disabilities. The primary goal of this legislation is to standardize the regulations on digital accessibility across the EU.

This law is applicable to all businesses operating within EU member countries and lays out specific requirements for both new and existing websites, including e-commerce sites. For companies covered under this law, new websites must comply with accessibility standards before June 28, 2025. As for existing websites, they will have an additional five years to become compliant.
